Steve joined Golden Crumb Produce in August 1994 as part of the small factory team, producing one million breaded mushrooms each week for Foodservice. In 1999 the factory relocated to its current site and the introduction of complementary new products, meeting the need for innovation and growth in the market. 2006 brought the rebranding of Innovate Foods with further investment in machinery, product development, and production time.

Steve has grown with the business, his skills, and expertise a valuable contribution to the business over the decades. Steve became Production Manager in 2009 responsible today, for two lines, 120 hours of production time weekly, and a production staff nearing 100 over three shifts. He oversees all production from new product launch trials to old faithful limited-run products, accounting for 30 million portions annually, all to BRC AA+ standard.

In his leisure time, Steve likes to grab his clubs and hit the fairways. With a handicap of 8 to maintain, that’s quite the commitment but he also finds time to read and do home DIY.
